Josep Pujiula
Watercolor
Josep Pujiula was a Spanish artist based in Girona, Catalonia. While he is very well known as the creator of the monumental Parc d'en Garrell (a world-famous "art brut" environment of wooden towers and labyrinths), he was also a prolific painter. His watercolors typically contain scenes of traditional Catalan and Spanish village life, often including details like birdcages, woven baskets, and weathered wooden doors. A delicate use of light and shadow on white stucco walls, typical of the Mediterranean watercolor style. Signature: A distinctive cursive "Pujiula" usually located in the bottom left or right corner
